Why Yoga?

Yoga is a practice that combines stretching, controlled breathing, and relaxation. In addition to offering many bodily and spiritual benefits, the practice helps to reduce and eliminate stress, lower blood, pressure and improve heart function.

People around the world have practiced yoga for thousands of years, and millions of Americans currently enjoy its health benefits. Yoga is an effective, low-impact form of exercise that involves integration of every muscle, organ, and cell of the body, bringing balance to mind and body.
